Scotiabank Phase II

Scotiabank Phase II

Behind the Scenes of Scotiabank Arena’s $350M Transformation

  • 100 Level concourse transformed with premium amenities
  • Digital signage and immersive technology seamlessly integrated
  • Arena remained fully operational during construction
  • Future secured with Phases 3–5 renovations

How we helped pull off Phase 2 without missing a game.

What an incredible journey it’s been to see Phase 2 of the Scotiabank Arena Reimagination come to life. This phase brought a full revamp of the 100 Level concourse all around the bowl — including new concessions, bars, restaurants, and high-tech grab-and-go areas designed to elevate the fan experience. We even managed to integrate state-of-the-art digital signage, atmosphere lighting, and immersive technology while maintaining the rich history of the building.

The pace was intense. Work happened off-season, on-season, and in between games and events — all while the arena stayed operational. Our footprint on-site was kept intentionally small, with much of the effort pushed into the background, but the coordination was massive. This project demanded early collaboration with architects, designers, and trades to plan every detail for fast-paced installations and quality execution.

I want to give a huge thank you to key partners who made this possible: Daniel Winger, Ryan Tissera, Jacob Bardati, and Mathews Saju from PCLConstruction — your leadership and ability to streamline all trades, often in tight windows, was absolutely critical. Maja Bovan of BBB Architects and Jamie Phelan of DesignAgency — your creative vision, design discipline, and early involvement made sure the project didn’t just move fast, but moved in the right direction. And of course, MLSE — thank you for trusting us and for your commitment to building something exceptional for fans and community alike.

For us at Guide, projects of this scale are where our roots truly show. We’ve always believed that no matter the size of the job — whether it’s a single bespoke detail or a sweeping renovation of one of the busiest arenas in North America — our responsibility is the same: to deliver craftsmanship at scale. The artisanal care that defined our family’s work generations ago remains at the heart of what we do today; only now, it’s applied with the systems, collaboration, and precision required to execute at the very highest level.

We’re proud of what was accomplished in Phase 2, and even more excited for what’s ahead. Guide has been brought on for Phase 3 renovations — including the L300 bowl, L400 suites, L500 Suites + Loge Club, and the L600 Club. With Phases 4 & 5 on the horizon, there’s more to come, and we’re looking forward to bringing the same dedication and craftsmanship to each stage.

This work is a true testament to collaboration, forward thinking, and the drive to create spaces worthy of the teams, fans, and events they host. Grateful to be part of this journey.
